"Teacher Exchange Programme”

In order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experience between educators of QualiEd and that of Shanghai Shixi Middle School/ Zhengzhou No.11 High School, and for teachers to know more about the teaching progress in another city, our school would arrange our teachers to go to the Mainland and invite teachers from the Mainland to come to Hong Kong. We hope that this programme can offer opportunities for educators from both places to share their experience in teaching and school management. It is hoped that the quality of teaching can be improved.

Objectives:

1. To establish communication networks and foster exchange of experience among teachers of the two places.

2. To provide opportunities for teachers to understand more about the teaching trends and teaching approaches of both places;

3. To improve teachers’ teaching quality by allowing exchange of experience in teaching profession;

4. By observing classes and through cultural exchange, a close network with affiliated schools can be established;

5. To improve the effectiveness of one’s school management by observing the school administration of another school so that one can learn from the other.

Targets:
All teachers of QualiEd College and of our sister schools

Arrangements:
Exchange teachers under this programme can teach in another school for a certain period of time in order to experience the teaching life there.

1. Duration
- No limit for the duration. However, for better efficacy, the duration of the programme should not be less than 1 month,

2. Subjects and Forms to be Taught
- Depending on the actual situations of both schools.

3. Campus Life:
- The non-teaching duties of the exchange teachers can be determined by both schools;
- A teacher mentor will be assigned by school to answer exchange teachers’ questions;
- A teacher from another institute will be arranged to go on an exchange in our school and we will assign one of our teachers to go to that institute as an exchange teacher.

4. Meals and Accommodation:
- Exchange teachers can stay at the dormitory of QualiEd College for free while the teachers shall be responsible for other expenses.

5. Suggested Time:
- Long school holiday or examination periods in the host school are not advisable.
